The entire Tangiers sequence is so well paced and has an awesome soundtrack. The action is franchise's best and the fight with Desh is on a whole other level. Very satisfying ending that probably could have fully ended here. Lots of shaky cam but it works much better here than in Supremacy. His scene with Corklin (Chris Cooper) is a franchise high and shows how much he hates his Bourne persona. I also enjoyed how the film builds the character as a cold killer who really wants to leave that behind. The ending in particular really stands out as it is the only part of the franchise featuring a happy Bourne. But for a nearly 20 year film, many sound effects sound outdated.

All the future plot points are excellently laid out. Definitely the quietest of the bunch and is overall, a great starting point for the larger story.

Damon probably gives his best performance in this franchise here (especially with the scene where he confronts the daughter whose parents he killed). The stuff with Karl Urban was somewhat weak and it did bring the film down a bit. He barely talks in this one but it makes sense with his situation. But the film does a great job showing how pissed Bourne is and how he really wants to be disconnected from everything. The shaky cam is very jarring in here and the final car chase is super hard to follow. The whole tech company storyline was a little weak and it felt kind of out of place. But the shaky cam stuff was improved here. It felt a little redundant from the others at time. Still a decent addition but Bourne's return was super forced. No one liners or cheesy jokes which was a change of pace from a lot of my favourite action films. There are zero jokes in this franchise and people rarely smile which I thought was something to point out. They do stand out from Bond and Mission: Impossible especially due to the atmosphere and super serious tone. Recently watched the franchise for the first time in their entirety and it definitely deserves its status as one of the great action franchises of the 21st century.
